I’m Pooja – Biologist, Storyteller, and Eater of All Things Chocolate. While I’m not sighing at the piles of laundry and dirty dishes which is all that adulthood seems to entail so far – I love to binge-read romance novels, binge-watch historical dramas, and spend long lunches catching up with friends, and laughing over all our current pressing issues. My thirst for adventure is almost always in conflict with my longing for home and familiarity. I’m the kind of person who comes off shy at first – but when I get to know you, it’s hard to shut me up. I find it a lot easier to open up to people over writing – so here goes!

Hi Pooja! The uncanny similarity of the _story_ of your Ph.D. experience with mine was striking! Emphasis on the word ‘story’, because you went through your unique set of ups and downs.
I chose the other option: switched labs to escape a toxic PI and lab environment, requiring me to restart my dissertation and not take any of my old work with me. I do look smashing in my graduation gown! Had you gone down my route, you would have done just fine!
